After-work coding and social event for software developers with pizza, beer and soft drinks, hosted by Softwire Manchester.
What’s the event about?
For a software developer, it can be hard to understand what it means to create accessible apps and websites. While the official guidelines are an invaluable resource, their technology-agnostic approach means the advice isn’t always that ‘accessible’. For example: WCAG 2.1 says “More than one way is available to locate a Web page within a set of Web pages except where the Web Page is the result of, or a step in, a process.”
Join us at Softwire Manchester to hear our Tech Principal, Jonathan Price, explore real-world digital accessibility fixes and improvements. Then have an opportunity to practice your own accessibility skills in Jonathan’s programming activity, and chat with other developers to share your tips and experiences.
