We’re looking for an exceptional DevOps Engineer - IAMS to help us make a difference to our planet.
As our DevOps Engineer - IAMS, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.

Job description
Your world of expertise
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll architect innovative solutions to complex identity challenges and you will be part of a team, to build and maintain an authentication service to help a global user-base access critical weather data and services.
Join us in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and retrospectives, where you will help shape our team’s future.
Your key duties
- Work independently and as a team writing testable and maintainable Python and JavaScript code.
- Contribute to and maintain CI/CD Pipelines in Azure and AWS.
- Proactively monitor and resolve support incidents (as part of a support rota).
- Ensure documentation is current and accurate.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement authentication and authorization.
We operate an on-call roster in Technology to provide 24/7/365 support to respond to operational service requirements. This post may be part of an on-call roster and the postholder would be required to participate in an on-call roster where in operation.
Person specification
Essential Criteria, skills and experience:
- Proven problem-solving abilities in complex technical environments. (We keep evolving)
- Demonstrable experience developing authentication solutions with Azure AD B2C. (We live and breathe it)
- Adept at writing testable and maintainable Python and JavaScript code. (We’re experts by nature)
- Strong communication skills with evidence of an organised and structured approach to your work and ability to work within a team environment. (We’re better together)
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains to automate application build, testing and deployment. (We’re experts by nature)
