We are looking for an enthusiastic Corporate Technical Support Engineer with a real passion for user experience and IT to join our lively team, supporting several sites and around 5000+ users.
The post is based in our Manchester office, however travel between sites will be required to support Corporate Technical support services.
Job description
We’re looking for a Corporate Technical Support Engineer with a real drive and passion for excellent user experience, employee enablement and continuous improvement.
You will need to have an analytical approach to problem solving, identifying risks, and mitigating any impact on wider organisation.
The role resides within our Corporate Technical Support team who are responsible for resolving service calls relating to the use of IT devices and their applications, including mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and desktop computers. You will be interacting with users across numerous communication channels i.e Microsoft Teams/Outlook, ServiceNow or our Tech bars.
Sometimes the work can be physically demanding, for example installing monitors / personal computers and supporting meeting room equipment.
As a member of the Corporate Technical support team, you will be supporting and maintaining new and existing services, products, and platforms. The ideal candidate would have experience in end user computing, mobile device management and printing as a service.

Responsibilities
For the services, products and platforms supported, as a Corporate Technical Support Engineer your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Managing and prioritising incidents, requests, changes and problems, offering advice and guidance for resolution.
- Managing the configuration, availability, security, capacity, and performance.
- Take inputs from various sources, to lead continuous improvement activities.
- Managing all aspects of the lifecycle of assets from acquisition through to disposal applying quality asset record updates and ensure quality outputs are maintained.
- Maximising own and teams use of various tools and technologies to deliver operational excellence.
- Participating in wider communities of practice, identifying good practices we can adopt. Sharing knowledge and experience of tools and techniques to improve team capability.

- You can demonstrate an understanding of information security and the types of security controls that can be used to mitigate security threats within solutions and services.
- You own a problem until a new owner has been found or the problem has been mitigated or resolved.
- You can troubleshoot and identify problems across different technology capabilities.
- You can understand the core technical concepts related to the role and apply them with guidance.
- You can take inputs from various sources and use these to support the delivery and/or operation of a service.
