Job description
As an Interaction Designer you’ll:
- Use data from research and analytics to understand user’s needs and test designs to meet them.
- Design collaboratively and in the open, engaging your team in the design process.
- Create prototypes to test ideas
and learn from. - Design with consideration for accessibility and inclusion.
- Share knowledge across teams, making sure that your designs are reusable and consistent with the GOV.UK Design System.
- Contribute to the Interaction Design community in both DWP and across government.

- Evidence and context-based design - Work with others to design solutions that are based on evidence and help identify gaps in knowledge.

- Communication - Present your work and share design decisions, explaining ideas in a way that people understand and actively listen to other people’s input.
- Accessibility - Design with accessibility in mind, showing familiarity with the WCAG 2.1 guidelines and designing to meet AA standards.
- Collaboration - Work in the open, engaging others in the design process.
