Senior Engineer Infrastructure Operations - Ofsted - HEO

We are hiring a Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Operations to join our Information Systems team. 

The post holder will ensure that Ofsted’s infrastructure and services are safely and securely maintained and available at all times.  The post holder will provide support to end users on a range of technologies in a fast paced, exciting and rewarding environment.  They will support cloud services such as SharePoint Online and Exchange as well as infrastructure running in Azure and on-premises.  This is a varied role with an opportunity to learn a breadth of skills in the latest technology

• Knowledge and experience of managing Azure resources including Azure Monitor, Azure Update Service and/or Azure Backup (Essential)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft products such as Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft 365 Platform (Essential)
• Experience of using Terraform (Essential)
• Knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Databases (Desirable)
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically, creatively, and independently to solve issues (Essential)
• Experience of delivering high quality technical service to end users (Essential)
