The Role
We’re recruiting for a ServiceNow Tester here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Service Operations team.
This role aligns against Test Engineer from the Government Digital and Data Framework.

As a ServiceNow Tester, you’ll delve deep into the platform's nuances, while also serving as a resonating voice within our Testing community, sharing insights across Justice Digital.
Your principal duty will be to guarantee the flawless quality and functionality of our ServiceNow implementations. Rooted in agile practices, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and administer tests for complex and essential products. In this journey, the extensive support from the Test Manager and a wealth of formal learning avenues are at your disposal, ensuring your continuous growth.
Your core responsibility lies in championing quality assurance. Integrating with varied teams, your mission will be to preserve product integrity. By proactively identifying challenges, suggesting resolutions, and advocating best practices, you'll be instrumental in upholding the gold standard of testing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: Operate under the guidance of the Test Manager, contributing to the development of detailed test plans and strategies.
- Script Development: Design and implement detailed test scripts, integrating ATF tests as required.
- Defect Tracking: Spot, document, and monitor defects, guaranteeing transparent communication and effective resolution.
- Platform Testing: Play an integral role in regression testing during platform upgrades, safeguarding the ServiceNow platform's consistent performance.
- Feedback & Reporting: Offer timely insights based on testing outcomes, proposing enhancements to elevate product quality.
- Stay Updated: Keep informed about ServiceNow platform evolutions, ensuring alignment of testing methodologies with platform advancements.
- User Story Analysis: Work in tandem with developers to grasp user stories and guarantee the integration of testing perspectives. Coordinate 'Three Amigo' sessions for complex stories with Business Analysts and developers to ensure clarity and a shared understanding.
- Client Engagement: Engage with clients as required, ensuring the solutions resonate with their needs and aspirations. Additionally, present demos of new functionality to stakeholders before initiating user testing.
- Best Practices: Champion and propagate best testing practices, upholding consistent quality and performance standards.

Essential
- ServiceNow Fundamentals
- ServiceNow ITSM experience
- Proficiency in Software Quality Assurance Methodologies
- Awareness of ITIL Methodologies
- Experience with ATF

- Good Knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform and Application Navigation
Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for SC clearance.

In Justice Digital, we recruit using a combination of the Government Digital and Data Profession Capability and Success Profiles Frameworks. We will assess your Experience and Technical skills as part of the assessment process.
A diverse panel will review your application against the Person Specification above.
Successful candidates who meet the required standard will then be invited to a 1-hour panel interview held via video conference.
