Additional Information:
College staff are classed as Public Servants and we are not eligible to participate in the Civil Service transfer process, therefore while successful candidates can transfer in on their existing terms and conditions, any subsequent transfer out of the College to the Civil Service cannot be guaranteed on existing terms and conditions and new starter/modernised terms may apply.

Job description
We look forward to reading your application for the role of Test Engineer.
The selected candidate will design, develop and execute test plans for complex digital products and solutions, ensuring functional and non-functional requirements are meeting defined quality assurance standards and best practices.
Person specification
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Design and execution on all levels of functional and non-functional testing, including system, integration, regression, accessibility, UAT and scenario-based tests across digital products and assets.
- Lead, build and develop close collaborations with development team, creating shared understanding of code bases, and ensuring high levels of test and quality coverage at unit levels.
- Working in collaboration with various stakeholders and DDaT teams across different projects within the organisation and adapting accordingly. Active participation in project teams, providing planning input, design review and test support working to prioritise issues.
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Extensive functional and non-functional testing experience within complex digital software development and delivery environments
- Experience working in an Agile software development methodology, or iterative development environment, with the ability to determine own priorities, estimation, and management of time within a given sprint cycle
