Android Tech Lead, Hybrid/MCR – Up to £80k + 25% Bonus

Fantastic opportunity for an experience Tech Lead within the Native Android space to join an ecommerce household name in Manchester with offices in the heart of the Northern Quarter.

The mobile applications bring in 25% of the organisations revenue so is an integral part of the business which they are always looking within the teams to innovate and continually improve. Android & iOS work closely together; whilst being independent teams with their own technical leads there is feature parity between apps in which they must collaborate to push live. You will be supported by a team of 3 Mobile QA’s and a backend team who manage the mobile gateway, security and services that support the apps.

Your responsibility as a Tech Lead is to support a team of 3 developers through the project pipeline, leading the sprints, guiding them through the solutions, taking ownership for the department and pushing innovation within the application. The split is roughly 50% Leadership, 25% line management & 25% hands on. You’ll be given the autonomy to explore new technologies, then encouraged to implement new initiatives to take the application to the next level; something they are looking into at the moment is augmented reality.

The package is great too, they are offering a salary of up to £80k + 25% bonus and the flexibility to work remotely with 1-2 days a month in the office for collaboration days when they really have value!
