Are you a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (End User Compute/EUC) looking to work with artificial intelligence (AI) and work in an innovation focussed environment?

We are looking for engineers to be responsible for the development, deployment, and management of devices on platforms such as Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android. In addition, you will work with security and governance and specialise primarily in configuring solutions within the Microsoft 365 environment, with a focus on Intune, Azure and Defender for Endpoint!

Working closely with the wider EUC team, you will develop and deliver new functions and services across Home Office, improving the end user experience. As a specialist and product lead, you will support activities such as technology roadmaps, projects, and tasks!

What you will bring

You will have a passion for infrastructure engineering with experience in some of the follow

  • Familiarity with managing devices, using modern methods across various platforms, such as: Windows 11, MacOS, Android, iOS as well as virtual environments such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure AD, AAD device management, Hybrid Domain Devices (co-management).
  • A technical understanding and administrative of end user devices across the above-mentioned platforms using tooling such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Entra-ID as well as virtual client tools such as Nerdio.
  • Applied knowledge of drafting and implementing scripts, such as MS GraphAPI.
  • The design and build of end-to-end services across largely, the M365 technology stack including discovery, design, assurance, testing and transitions to service.
  • Understanding that solutions should be crafted for accessibility or can be integrated with using 3rd party tooling.

Like many organisations we need to maintain our services 24/7, therefore, on occasions there may be a requirement to work out of hours, for which you will be paid an additional allowance. 

What you will do 

  • Design, build, implement, administer, and support infrastructure technologies and solutions such as: Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android or Azure Virtual Desktop platform configuration and policies.
  • Review systems designs of others to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technology.
  • Provide technical expertise and knowledge for Microsoft Windows and Office 365 services, products, and patterns and the management tools that configure them such as Microsoft Intune or SCCM. Assist with any assurance activities for relevant services/products ready for deployment.
  • Evaluate the impact of supplier-instigated and organisation-instigated changes to Microsoft Windows and Office 365 services.
  • Initiate and monitor actions to investigate patterns and trends to resolve problems, including consulting specialists where required. You will determine the appropriate remedy and assist with implementation of fixes as well as preventative measures.
  • Coach and mentor more junior infrastructure engineers, participating in their appraisal and related performance management processes.
