From the Manchester office, we look after all of the Group’s financial responsibilities covering 3 multi-national entities and deal with multiple currencies.

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will be assisting the Finance Team in a hands-on varied role that would suit a candidate who wants to build on their experience and progress through their qualifications. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills who is determined and can work on their own initiative.

A little about you...

  • Studying towards ACCA/CIMA, preferably part qualified
  • Experience within a general accounts department and strong understanding of double-entry book-keeping
  • Previous experience of posting basic GL transactions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work on own initiative, and plan/organise their workload
  • Strong Excel skills (eg Vlookups, pivot tables etc)
  • Have a desire to be part of a fast paced and high growth business
  • Previous exposure to SaaS would be beneficial

About the role...

  •  Assisting with the completion of monthly management accounts 
  • Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations including accruals, prepayments and the fixed asset register
  • Posting of monthly journals such as accruals and prepayments
  • Intercompany postings and reconciliation for 3 entities
  • Assisting with the expenses and credit card management system
  • Support and assist in dealing with US tax entries, both sales and corporation tax
  • Providing cover for the processing of sales and raising sales invoices when necessary
  • Supporting on the year end audit, resolving queries with accompanying evidence etc
  • Implement processes for continuous improvement if/where necessary
  • Assist the Management Accountant and the wider team with ad-hoc tasks
