We are looking for a Senior IT Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining a corporate-wide, global IT function. Working closely with the business, you will maintain and enhance existing systems and ensure the reliability, ease of use and future proofing of our internal IT function.
A little about you...
- Worked within a busy and varied IT department, handling a wide range of IT tasks and projects.
- Provided IT services for a business growing both organically and through acquisitions, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
- Possesses strong technical knowledge of networking, ensuring robust and efficient network infrastructure.
- Administered on-premise Active Directory and equivalent Azure tenants, ensuring secure and efficient identity management.
- Managed hardware and software for a diverse range of devices including Windows-based machines, Apple devices, and Linux servers.
- Worked with SaaS products and other technologies, internet, and security systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
- Understanding of ISO27001 compliance requirements and information security controls, ensuring the organisation meets industry standards.
- Maintained a keen eye for detail, diligently following processes and maintaining audit trails to ensure compliance and security.
- Identified inefficiencies in processes and the wider organisation, offering practical solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Demonstrated a willingness to learn on the job, staying updated with the latest IT trends and technologies.
- Exhibited excellent interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with colleagues to onboard new staff and resolve IT issues.

About the role...
- Support daily operations of network and server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability eg joiner’s, mover’s & leaver’s.
- Daily support activities such as resolving tickets, hardware and software related issues
- Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals.
- Evaluate risks and ensure effective recovery and backup processes for critical systems.
- Help assure all IT activities comply with applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Assess, purchase, and manage new and replacement hardware to support business operations.
- Track inventory and status of hardware and software, including maintaining appropriate licensing levels.
- Proactively de-risk the organisation by identifying and mitigating information security threats.
- Ensure compliance with information security requirements and policies within the IT department and the broader business.
- Implement robust security measures for the network, data, and communication systems.
- Provide appropriate support to the wider business, maintaining a customer-focused approach.
- Test, troubleshoot, and adjust information systems to ensure they operate effectively and efficiently.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve IT processes and systems to enhance overall business performance.
