Data Scientist - Pricing & Marketing Optimization
Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 days WFH)Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
About the Role
We are seeking a Data Scientist to join a dynamic and data-driven organization, working on high-impact projects that optimize pricing and marketing strategies. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team, where data science plays a key role in driving business growth and decision-making.
You will be responsible for building predictive models, running A/B tests, analyzing large datasets, and collaborating with key teams to uncover actionable insights. The role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and a passion for applying data science in a commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data science projects, from exploration to deployment.
- Collaborate with pricing and marketing teams to translate business needs into data-driven insights.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to inform strategic decision-making.
- Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and pricing experiments.
- Process large-scale datasets to uncover key trends and drive commercial value.
- Build, deploy, and maintain predictive models (regression, classification, time series forecasting).
- Work with Azure Cloud Platforms (desirable) to scale and operationalize machine learning models.
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills
- Python - Proficient in data manipulation and machine learning.
- SQL - Strong ability to query large datasets and optimize performance.
- Machine Learning - Hands-on experience in regression, classification, clustering, and time series forecasting.
- A/B Testing - Ability to design and interpret controlled experiments.
- End-to-End Project Experience - Experience taking a data science project from concept to production.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Azure Cloud Platforms (ADF, Azure ML, Logic Apps, Azure Functions).
- Knowledge of Power BI or similar visualization tools.
