Senior Developer

We are working with a down-to-earth company that gives its dev team the autonomy to lead changes and make a significant impact on the platform. They are on a mission to bring all development in-house, and we are now looking for a Senior Developer with strong Angular experience to join this growing team.

In this role, you will not only be hands-on with development but also play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding junior team members, helping to ease pressure on the manager.

Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be responsible for clearly articulating technical principles and explaining architecture and patterns.

The role is mostly remote, with occasional visits to their Bristol office. Ideally, you'd go to Bristol once a week, but there's some flexibility.

You must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Bristol.

Tech Stack and Experience:

Strong Angular experience

Strong TypeScript skills

Ideally you will have some Node.js experience

Interest in working with AWS and MongoDB

Experience with GitHub, Time Series Data, PHP, MySQL, or IoT

One of the first tasks will be to rewrite and modernize a platform originally built in PHP, adding microservices. While a small part of their offshore team will handle bug fixes and other issues, the focus will be on writing clean, efficient code.
