Job Title: Senior Web Developer

Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)

We've partnered with an innovative and growing software development company in Manchester to help them find a Senior Web Developer with strong expertise in React and TypeScript.

This is a small but ambitious team that has achieved significant growth in the software space. They are now looking to expand their capabilities and bring on someone who can help them unlock new opportunities and tackle exciting challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll take ownership of projects from the start, working closely with the Head of Frontend Development and collaborating with a talented, passionate team. You'll design, build, and deliver high-quality software solutions, focusing on creating scalable, efficient applications.

This role offers the chance to:

  • Build and maintain applications using React, TypeScript, and other modern technologies.
  • Take a hands-on role in shaping the company's technical direction.
  • Develop both frontend and backend customer-facing solutions using Python/Django and GraphQL.
  • Work with deployment tools like Docker and AWS to manage infrastructure.
  • Participate in feature development, bug fixes, and code reviews collaboratively with the team.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • Strong development experience with React and TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with Python (preferred), Django backend frameworks.
  • Experience with contemporary frontend frameworks (React preferred).
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, and containerized deployment using Docker (Kubernetes is a plus).
  • A passion for developing exceptional web applications and solving complex problems.
  • Experience in a commercial environment or a degree in Computer Science (or similar).
