We’re looking for a Lead Data Delivery Manager to join us in Manchester on a 24-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you’ll guide colleagues from across multiple teams to help them deliver data products and services across Co-op. We’ll look to you to determine and implement the most effective delivery strategy based on the specific needs of each project. This is a great opportunity to contribute to our exciting growth plans, as we look to improve our delivery processes and enable our colleagues to put data at the heart of their decision-making. You’ll work in a hybrid way – working from the office at least a couple of times per month (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
What you’ll do
- Create and implement strategies that meet project needs and partner expectations
- Proactively identify and explore opportunities to improve our delivery processes, and encourage others to do the same
- Define clear KPIs to measure success and provide insights, delivery updates, and reports to key partners to help inform their decision-making
- Collaborate with colleagues to accurately scope and estimate work packages, ensuring the timelines are realistic and achievable
- Manage our DevOps Board to improve collaboration and communication within your delivery teams
- Identify and manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) throughout projects
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners
- Coach and mentor your delivery team members to support them in their development
This role would suit people who have
- Experience as a Delivery Manager and a strong track record of successful projects
- Experience managing various digital technology and data projects
- Experience matrix managing multi-disciplinary teams and making sure everyone works together smoothly; with colleagues across multiple teams
- A strong understand of both waterfall and agile methodologies for effective project management
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead teams through challenges
- Good communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and challenge people, of all levels of seniority, inclusively
