We’re looking for a Trading Insights Manager to join us in Manchester to help build an understanding of our in-year trading and in-market performance, and provide actionable insights that support decision-making across Co-op. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

What you’ll do

  • Use a variety of insight data sources (e.g., Shopper Research, Circana, Kantar, Lumina etc); Work with our
  • Trade Planning team to make sure our trade plans and promotions are in line with customer and market opportunities
  • Develop a 6-12 month insight plan that supports our trade activation programme and informs decision-making
  • Build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
  • Create compelling stories from data and communicate them in an engaging way
  • Line-manage one of our Trade Insight Analyst colleagues and support them in their development

This role would suit people who have

  • Experience in an Insight, Market Research or Market Intelligence role
  • Experience using continuous market data sources (e.g. Kantar, Circana, Nielsen, Lumina, IGD, GfK etc) to provide clear and actionable insights
  • Knowledge of market research approach and experience of managing market research projects end-to-end
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and challenge inclusively
