About us
Pets at Home have embarked on a digital transformation to rebuild our customer and colleague facing digital platforms. We are building up our in-house development team and looking for talented developers to join us on this exciting transition to re-invent our customer journeys and become the best pet care business in the world. We are taking the opportunity to utilize a modern tech stack to create completely bespoke front ends, as well as integrating with some third-party platforms such as Optimizely CMS and e-commerce tools to power our content and stock management.
About the role
You’ll enable our colleagues by providing tools to do the job through end user computing. This role adds expertise and thought leadership to deliver our technology vision and provides a secure, reliable and valued End User Computing service to colleagues.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and influence this brand-new role, creating a value proposition for the whole of the Pets at Home Group
What we’re looking for
- Serve as a product expert, product evangelist, and the voice of the customer ensuring that a rolling refresh is maintained to keep us current and supported and the product catalogue is current. Ensure that product roadmaps are aligned to customer need and architectural principle
- Own the end to end service provision of the End User Computing service ensuring Service Levels are appropriate, are adhered to and are under-pinned by appropriate supplier agreements
- Influence a team of technical specialists and maintain technical credibility within the team
- Take a continuous improvement to services offered in the EUC space, ensuring that our service offerings keep pace with business growth, analysing metrics to understand customer and product performance and lead improvement plans where appropriate
- Take a lead role in influencing the modernising tech and modern working initiatives
- Ensure that products are maintained to an agreed levels (eg Monthly Patching
Essential Skills
- You’ll have worked in a busy End User Compute role, with experience in providing a high level of service, against agreed Service Levels and driving a continually improving service in a leadership role.
- Successful track record in delivery of modern end user compute solutions
- Experience of managing supplier costs and driving value through any spend
- Has a logical and methodical approach to technical problem solving
- Be obsessed about service & customer
- Focussed on prevention rather than cure
- Tenacious & authoritative with the ability to influence others
- Ability to interact at all work levels
- Performance, process and metric-driven
- Has a clear vision of the future and how to adapt to industry and local changes
