Insights from the ‘Rewards & Resilience’ Report
Based on a survey of over 200 women leaders in tech and endorsed by Dame Stephanie Shirley, the report sheds light on the achievements and challenges faced by women in tech.
Highlights include:
● High Job Satisfaction: Nearly 90% of women love their jobs, and 80% feel
successful.
● Persistent Challenges: 90% have encountered gender bias, and over 60% have
faced gender discrimination.
● Underrepresentation: Women hold only 24% of tech roles and just 5% of leadership
positions.
A Dual Experience: Love for Work Amid Bias:
Despite their passion and success, women in tech must navigate significant obstacles. The
sector offers substantial financial and intellectual rewards, but women are still vastly
underrepresented and face ongoing bias and discrimination.
Resilience in the Face of Challenges:
Women in tech must demonstrate resilience that their male counterparts often don't need.
Nearly 80% report challenges in their leadership journey, especially in larger enterprises.
Despite high job satisfaction, the need for resilience remains a constant theme.
AND Digital's Commitment to Women in Tech:
AND Digital champions women in tech through initiatives like the AND She Can programme
and the Digital Skills Forum. Our ‘Rewards & Resilience’ report is a crucial step in our
mission to close the digital skills gap and support women in tech.
Wendy Stonefield, London Hub Executive at AND Digital, "There's been huge
progress in promoting female talent, but genuine cultural change is needed to fully embrace
diversity."
