Big Brand Ideas bags seven nominations at digital marketing awards

Customer engagement agency, Big Brand Ideas, has been shortlisted for a staggering seven awards at the Northern Digital Marketing Awards 2018.

The agency, based in Macclesfield and with a content team in Manchester, has been nominated for seven awards across four categories; best use of social media, best integrated campaign, best use of video and best low budget campaign, whilst its content arm, Trunk, is also shortlisted for small digital agency of the year.

The campaigns that have seen the agency dominate the shortlist are its work with Nextbase dashcams and a fundraiser for a young girl suffering with a rare form of cancer.

The campaign for Isabella Lyttle, saw a fundraising video called ‘The ‘C’ Word’ go viral, helping to raise more than £30,000 towards sending the ten-year-old to America for potentially life-saving treatment. The hard-hitting video received more than 12.1 million views, over 88,000 shares and 23,000 comments.

The fundraiser will be competing on the night for best integrated campaign, best use of social media and best use of video.

Its work with the UK’s leading manufacturer of dashcams, Nextbase, is also in the running for multiple awards. Big Brand Ideas created a ‘Bad Drivers’ campaign for the company which featured across multiple channels including social media, video and TV. ‘Bad Drivers’ resulted in the Nextbase Facebook page following double in just one month.

Jon Butler, managing director at Big Brand Ideas, said: “To be shortlisted for each of our award entries is a fantastic achievement, which highlights the incredible work the team has been doing. This year has been a significant one for the agency, we have won some great new accounts, increased the company headcount and established a new dedicated engagement division, so this recognition is a great end to 2017 for us.”

The Northern Digital Awards 2018 take place on 31st January 2018 at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds.
