At Manchester Digital, we like to interview our members to find out a bit more about what they do and their work in the Greater Manchester digital and technology sphere. This week we're speaking with Joel Bransfield, Commercial Operations Director at Big Partnership.
What motivated Big Partnership to focus on working with digital companies in Manchester specifically?
Big Partnership has worked across in the Digital and Tech sector across the UK for over 20 years. However we recognised that Manchester was out performing the rest of the UK from a regional aspect. Not only has opening in Manchester allowed us to work in closer proximity to our clients, it has allowed us to tap into some of the very best talent around.
At Big we are committed to developing talent and the opportunities to network with like minded individuals and take learnings from events will allow us to accelerate our employees careers.
How does your agency's approach to marketing and PR differ when working with digital and tech clients compared to other industries?
Digital marketing and PR have never been as closely knit as they are today. However it is how you align these to your business objectives that creates the largest impact. At BIG we have created a growth framework, which allows us to map your business goals across your marketing ecosystem. Knowing where you currently sit vs these goals allows us to create integrated campaigns, with commercial impact and drive results that matter.
Can you share a success story or case study of a digital company you've worked with and the results you achieved?
BIG partnered with Cloud Technology Services (CTS) to drive awareness and cut through within the retail sector specifically. Understanding their ideal business profile and target audience, allowed us to create an integrated campaign, that focused on driving awareness in a crowded market place, but most importantly generating high quality leads for their sales team.
Through a full funnel paid strategy, in 4 months BIG delivered 3.6million LinkedIn Ad Impressions, a blended paid CVR of 3.14% and 70 qualified leads.
What are the biggest marketing or PR challenges you see digital companies in Manchester facing, and how does Big Partnership help address these?
The biggest challenges within PR specifically for companies is measuring commercial impact and ROI / how the PR efforts contribute to the overall marketing investment.
Often PR and marketing are the first budgets to be cut, but when used effectively they can deliver massive commercial impact. By putting data and insight into our planning and providing solutions that are not single service lines and taking into account business goals, BIG can help businesses drive a higher return on their marketing investment.
As new members of Manchester Digital, what do you hope to contribute to and gain from the local tech community?
Obviously it goes without saying we are wanting to network and speak with as many businesses and people as possible and add value to their marketing efforts. Away from that though our key focus is providing a platform for our colleagues to network and learn through events and sessions put on my MD. And we hope to be able to contribute to the events and sessions too, by leveraging our experience of over 20 years.
Thank you Joel!
