CGI, one of the largest independent IT and business consulting services firms in the world, has been selected by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) as the preferred partner for its new Applications, Database, and Infrastructure Management Services (ADIMS) contract.
This contract supports CPS’s Future Casework Tools Programme, which is delivering digital solutions to increase efficiency, enhance casework quality and improve user experience. The contract award marks the end of a multi-stage competitive bidding process to support critical business applications including CPS’s Case Management System.
Under the new contract, CGI will provide an enhanced service that covers CPS’s business and mission-critical applications 24/7, 365 days a year, with the outcome of better supporting prosecutors in ensuring justice. The new user-centric service will enable the provision of safe, stable, and secure systems within the CPS. Working with the CPS and their wider eco-system, CGI will play a critical role in providing expertise and in-depth knowledge on the CPS’s applications, enabling their transformation.
Matthew Cain, Chief Digital Information Officer at Crown Prosecution Service, said: “As we look to the future, we’re delighted that CGI will continue to support our heritage application suite allowing us to maintain valuable services for our justice system. CGI will provide a world-class level of stability for CPS at this stage in our digital transformation journey. We are particularly impressed with CGI's approach to a service culture, automation, and platform design that integrates security as a shared responsibility (DevSecOps) from the outset. The delivery of ADIMS will enhance our operations and provide important benefits to the criminal justice system.”
Kevin O’Neill, Senior Vice President, Consulting Services for Government at CGI, said: “The provision of safe, stable platforms is essential for CPS users to deliver their vital work without interruption. IT infrastructure management plays a crucial role in an organisation’s operations, so we are excited to be able to support the Crown Prosecution Service with the delivery of ADIMS. This contract is the latest milestone in our long-standing relationship with the CPS, having worked with them for over 20 years to provide invaluable support in their digital transformation journey.”
