CTI Digital has made another major acquisition, welcoming leading UK Drupal Support and Hosting Agency, Ixis, to the CTI Group. The move bolsters and further secures talent for CTI's service offerings within Website Support and Hosting.
A journey of acquisitions
After leaving Paperhat Group 2 years ago, CTI Digital has acquired Hosting and Support Agency, Nublue, and Strategy and Experience House, StarDotStar. CTI Digital and Nublue's commerce experts also launched a commerce specialist agency brand, supercharged commerce early in 2020.
Clients of the CTI Group, an integrated network of independently operated agencies, include London Transport Museum, Arts Council England, and BASF.
Growth in 2020 from a rise of client investments in ecommerce and online platforms made November 2020 the agency collective's best since conception in 2003. However, expedited growth means the agency has struggled to hire fast enough to increase capacity while maintaining a distinct and personal company culture.
Ixis joins the cti fold
The acquisition of Ixis will help CTI jump 'years forward' in terms of the support department's development while maintaining a culture of close-knit support and collaboration between staff.
"We worked exclusively in Drupal for several years, becoming the UK's leading dedicated agency. When we had perfected our Drupal skills and built a portfolio ranging from enterprises to local government and third sector organisations, we expanded our process and services to other platforms such as WordPress and ShopWare." said Mike Carter, MD of Ixis.
"Joining CTI strengthens our positioning by bringing data, creative, marketing, ecommerce and usability labs into the mix. We see from pre, and what will eventually be post-Covid, that both our clients are looking for a cohesive digital experience which as a part of this new group, we can achieve." continued Mike Carter, MD of Ixis.
With the new acquisition, the CTI Group will celebrate crossing the £10m turnover threshold this financial year.
Ixis, a Deloitte Tech Top 500, launched in 2004 to make websites easy, people-focussed, and profitable. Their expert team help the people running websites you use every day, to get the best from their CMS investment through support, continuous improvements, training their staff.
Ixis's clients include Blue Prism, British Council, Action Aid, Donkey Sanctuary, Uniper Energy.
Ixis employs 18 staff and celebrates being one of the select UK agencies to boast an Acquia Drupal Grandmaster as a member of their team. They will continue to operate under Founder and CEO Mike Carter's leadership but now with support from the wider CTI group and services. The brand will continue to operate as an independent agency while benefiting from the streamlined processes and relationships that connect expert departments across five digital powerhouse brands.
CTI Digital expects another acquisition to be complete within the next two months, which will support service growth in creative and marketing.
"Our goal is to be the trusted digital partner of our clients. Everything we invest in, whether its acquisitions or our staff, our goal is to improve and build on what we do for clients." said Nick Rhind, CEO of CTI Digital.
"Covid has accelerated digital expectations and online take-up by over seven years in the last eleven months. The fear of change previously stopped some companies from investing in digital. I believe our first-line support, now bolstered by Ixis's ISO-accredited team, will instil confidence in brands to react more rapidly and produce 'extraordinary digital experiences' as our clients describe them. I look forward to what we’ll achieve as a team in 2021." continued Nick Rhind.
