The agency, based in Manchester city centre, has hired seven new Developers (five of which have joined their grad programme), two new QA Testers and a new Office Manager to meet the needs of their growing portfolio of ecommerce clients.
One of the latest Senior Front-End Developer hires, Lyndsey Herbert, said: “Ampersand has provided a great new challenge for me. My main responsibilities are working on our customers’ sites (whether that involves the smallest bugs or the fanciest new features) but also to review code and make sure it is written to a high standard, and to support the other developers in this too.”
The team has also welcomed a new Marketing Manager to continue to support the growth of the business and expand the reach of the agency within the UK. Joshua Hobson said: “I’m more than excited to join the Ampersand team and work with some great talent here in Manchester. The agency is well known within the region and I’m looking forward to continuing to establish the brand as a leader in ecommerce tech, data, design and integrations.”
On the expansion of the business, Ampersand’s Managing Director, Brett Cooper, added: “Our plans for the rest of the year, and into 2019, are ambitious and so we’re investing in a strong team with the capabilities we need. We have had a great year so far and there’s a lot of opportunity in the pipeline.”
The business is also investing in various HR initiatives alongside the new hires, including wellbeing initiatives, flexible working programmes, and clear personal growth and training policies.
