At Gravitas, we believe inclusion is at the heart of creating and maintaining, a positive workplace culture, where everyone's individualism and diversity make them feel valued and respected.
We are not only an advocate for Manchester Digital’s initiative, Digital Her, but also for Women in Technology; with Gravitas's Directors, Jo Callaghan and Liz Ellis, leading the charge.
Gravitas is often asked about how to increase diverse talent attraction, in areas and industries, that have previously been more male-dominated, often led by what has been perceived as 'The Old Boys Club,' or where societal impressions and pressures made working within these industries more challenging.
So with that in mind, I wanted to share with you a case study Gravitas created in partnership with one of our clients, Eurostar, to do just that.
As an industry leader in transportation, they wanted to:
- Improve Innovation by creating a company culture that offers a more open and rounded approach to solutions, by diversifying their talent pool.
- Challenge blind spots within the business and help build skills-based teams
- Create a long-term sustainable environment and culture that incorporates these diversities and innovations, within niche areas of technology.
The results(over a two-month hiring campaign):
- 100% increase in female representation within the team
- 41 Specialists Qualified, of which 51% were female.
- A more focused, robust, sustainable, and supported approach for future talent attraction.
