The emergence of ecommerce in FMCG companies

In 2018 ecommerce sales for FMCG brands contributed to just 1.3% of global sales. By 2030 this share is predicted to increase to 11%. Currently, the majority of these sales are through supermarkets online offerings and digital retailers such as Amazon. A recent analysis showed that just 9% of the UK’s top 100 FMCG brands were selling direct.
