Hyde based creative agency Fluid Creativity have been at it again, producing (and starring in) "Phorm", a series of new viral videos featuring some stunning imagery and footage that have all been produced in-house with the aid of our very own custom built green-screen facility and some tricky After Effects skills.
The first episode begins with the daily journey of a member of our work team as he lies in bed dreaming; before he is woken by his abstract, but contemporary, Salvador Dali-like melting alarm clock that defies the laws of gravity and oozes fluid from it's interface, leaving our Graham feeling dazed and confused, and wondering if he is still dreaming.
The green-screen facilities have been set up to achieve the exact look and feel of the glowing radioactive lime green colour of the fluid’s used in the video, along with the background imagery which utilises and reflects the working environment at Fluid.
The video features a pulsing soundtrack and makes use of some fantastic slow motion and time remapping effects generated by Twixtor, combined with some fancy grading and transition effects using Tinderbox and Magic Bullet plugs with added depth and interest provided by masked vector graphics and typographic elements, again all produced by the in house design team. This is composited with live action green screen footage to create a result that is as surreal as it is cutting edge.
Fluid's managing directory, Lee Turner, said;
"It has been quite messy at times but has been a lot of fun to create and the final product is sure to be breath-takingly good, and proof positive that with the right approach and team, stunning broadcast standard visual effects can be achieved even on a limited budget."
