Fluid Digital launches new ecommerce site for luxury skincare brand

Manchester ecommerce agency Fluid Digital has launched a new Magento ecommerce website for luxury skincare brand Augustinus Bader, whose products are loved by numerous A-list celebrities.

Augustinus Bader skin creams are used by the likes of Diane Kruger, Victoria Beckham, Dakota Johnson and Demi Moore and are quickly becoming renowned for the rejuvenating and anti-ageing effects they achieve through stem cell technology. Named after Augustinus Bader, a German scientist, the skincare system was originally used to treat burns patients. Realising its potential to provide dramatic skincare results Bader launched a high-end skincare brand, Augustinus Bader, in February 2018.

Previously the brand retailed two options for the breakthrough formula online: The Rich Cream and The Cream via seven separate international Shopify Plus stores. However, ecommerce bosses at the London-based company, wanted to streamline online sales with one Magento 2 Commerce site.

After asking several companies to pitch for the project Fluid was chosen due to its extensive expertise in using the Magento platform to build successful ecommerce sites.

Matt Jeans, Chief Technical Officer at Augustinus Bader, said it was a very exciting time for the brand which had been exceptionally well-received by the market and was ready for the next phase of digital progression.

He said: “We have only really scratched the surface of the potential that exists for our products in terms of online sales. Moving to a single Magento site that will adapt to different international markets and launching our subscription model will enable us to seize that opportunity at a time when demand for luxury skincare products that provide dramatic results has never been higher.

“We felt Fluid Digital understood the brief well and had experience of delivering similar projects that have generated excellent results. They were the natural choice to instruct and had a clear passion for what we wanted to achieve.”

Adam Hindle, Managing Director of Fluid Digital, commented: “The Augustinus Bader project was one that we were really able to get our teeth into. Due to the commercial potential of the site Augustinus Bader were keen to launch it as soon as possible so we were delighted that we were able to deliver the site in just 18 weeks to fit with this. There is huge potential for its online sales to be increased and for us to see the kind of results that Fluid loves to deliver.”
