Land speed record holder, TV mathematician and NHSX Director to headline Digital Transformation EXPO Manchester

Digital Transformation EXPO (DTX) - the biggest IT and tech event in the North – is returning to Manchester Central on 25th-26th March for the sixth year running.

The show, formerly IP Expo, will welcome 6,500 attendees and trailblazing speakers from organisations such as NHS, Rolls Royce, AO, Moneysupermarket, The Hut Group and Lloyds Banking Group. Not only that, but Land Speed Record holder Andy Green, TV’s Dr Hannah Fry and Jim Al-Khalili, and former Israeli Defence Forces operative Shira Shamban will join over 135 speakers across 10 stages. The 2020 event also marks the first time that tech giants Google, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle and AWS will all be speaking at the event.

The free to attend two-day event aims to unlock the power of technology for businesses of all sizes, and address the technology challenges attendees may be facing, while look to the opportunities of the future.

A recent McKinsey report found that, while 80 per cent of organisations have undertaken a digital transformation project in the last five years, less than three in 10 have been fully successful. Demand from businesses for expert advice on the topic is therefore high.

Opening keynote Andy Green, RAF Wing Commander and BloodhoundSSC driver, is the current holder of the land speed record and the first person to break the sound barrier on land – reaching 763.035 mph. Andy will discuss designing an ‘impossible’ piece of technology, using rapid data analysis in critical decision making, and teamwork at the cutting edge.

Also confirmed is Dr Hannah Fry, a renowned mathematician who studies patterns in human behaviour, and NHSX Digital Transformation Director Iain O’Neil.

Attendees will also experience the latest demos from over 100 tech exhibitors, take part in practical technical workshops with leading global vendors, and be exposed to a wealth of networking opportunities across the two days. The entire event is free to attend.

Commenting on the expo, James McGough, Managing Director at Imago Techmedia Group – the organisers behind DTX Manchester, said: “We’re thrilled to be heading back to Manchester Central once again. The event has grown each year, and this year’s event visitor numbers have increased by 15% year-on-year. With everything under one roof, we’re confident that attendees will find everything they need and more.

“Whether you’re coming for the networking opportunities, expert-lead speaker slots and panels, or to see the latest technology set to transform your business, places are filling up fast – so make sure you register today.”
