Manchester Digital MD Katie Gallagher OBE brought home another award from the WISE awards in London last week.
Katie was awarded the WISE Outstanding Woman in Technology award at the ceremony at the Maxwell Library at the Institute of Engineering and Technology in the City of Westminster on Tuesday, February 20.
The WISE Awards 2024 celebrates outstanding women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Now in its 14th year, the WISE Awards 2024 aims to recognise exceptional women in STEM and highlight organisations making impactful changes to improve gender balance.
Katie said: “I was very honoured to be presented with this award, along with an amazing list of other women working in STEM, and who also encourage and support other women in the science and tech industry.”
The WISE (Women into Science and Engineering) organisation was launched in 1984 by the Engineering Council.
Katie was also awarded an OBE in the 2024 New Year’s Honours list for her work for the digital and tech industry in the North West. She was also named on top women in tech lists for both Computer Weekly and Computing magazine, and was given the Outstanding Achievement Award at the TalkTalk Women in Tech Awards 2023.
