Manchester based Drupal specialist Ixis IT has appointed technology PR specialist Context Public Relations to support its 2017 marketing campaign. This brings 2016 to a successful conclusion for the Macclesfield agency following another recent account win with Israeli mobile security firm Kaymera.
Ixis specialises in website development, hosting and support services, using the Drupal open source content management framework and has a number of high profile customers across the UK including the British Council, the City of Westminster Council, Macmillan Education and Deutsche Bank. Context will be managing a comprehensive programme of media relations and content creation, helping Ixis to increase its profile with major organisations looking to enhance their online service offering.
Chris Haslam, Managing Director at Ixis, said: “Open source web development is becoming more popular as organisations, particularly those in the public sector, realise the benefits of using content management frameworks such as Drupal. With more local authorities and government departments now looking to deliver online services, open source development allows cost-effective access to the latest innovations in the digital space. As our agency grows we need to stay ahead of the game, and driving opportunities through PR and content marketing is a key part of this.”
Frank Smith, Managing Director at Context Public Relations, said, “Ixis is a shining example of a northwest tech company winning business across the UK by delivering value through an in depth understanding of open source technology. We worked on some projects with Ixis in 2016 and it’s gratifying to see our efforts rewarded with a retained service agreement.”
