Manchester, having demonstrated a strong lifelong learning offer across our city, has officially been recognised as a UNESCO: City of Lifelong Learning.
This is a great achievement for our city, but what does this mean for the digital and creative sector?
Manchester, one of the UK’s fastest growing cities, with strong population and economic growth, we’ve co-created a world leading offer built on knowledge, collaboration and investment.
Our latest success, in February 2024, Manchester was officially recognised as a UNESCO: City of Lifelong Learning, after demonstrating a track record of making lifelong learning a reality for all.
This recognition sees Manchester joining an international network of 356 cities, from around the world, each successfully demonstrating strong lifelong learning collaboration between education and skills, communities, employers, the public sector and a wider range of partners.
The city is committed to the inclusive growth of our residents and businesses, exploring innovative solutions which enable all residents to access and benefit from economic growth.
