Market help for eco SMEs

The Centre for Global Eco-Innovation is a new partnership between Lancaster University, The University of Liverpool and Inventya, The Daresbury-based company that provides market research for science, engineering and technology ventures.

The centre hopes to boost green technology firms by helping companies develop and commercialise their innovative products, services and processes.

It aims to find 200 north west SMEs with eco-beneficial products, services or processes they wish to take to market.

Inventya is holding a free seminar at the sustainable construction conference Greenbuild Expo at Manchester Central May 8 to talk to prospective businesses about the project.

Mark Howitt, project manager at the Centre for Global Eco-Innovation, said: “We are keen to hear from potential SMEs. The universities will provide at least 100 of these businesses with R&D support.”
