Digital Her is an initiative created by Manchester Digital with the mission to help address gender diversity and inclusion in the technology and digital sector. Digital Her is dedicated to inspiring and encouraging more girls and women across Greater Manchester to consider careers in technology and digital.
MentorHER is a new, dedicated mentoring programme created by Digital Her, enabled by its sponsors, to deliver impactful and purpose-driven mentoring.
In the first phase of our fully-funded programme, we’ll be focusing on supporting women in their early career, so in their first one to two years of working in the digital and tech sector, across Greater Manchester.
Representation matters and as a sector we need to ensure that women are encouraged not only to join but also feel confident to build their career in the sector. The programme will allow mentees to discover and explore in the initial stages, before being matched with a mentor.
We are looking for both mentors and mentees.
* Mentors will receive mentor training and support, joining a peer support network. Ideally, we’re looking for women with two or more years of professional experience. You don’t have to have been a mentor before.
* Mentees will have access to a six-month fully-funded mentorship opportunity to develop professionally. The programme will allow you to discover and explore in the initial stages, before being matched with a mentor.
