Platform81, the Stockport based digital marketing and creative agency, is set for its most successful year to date following a string of new business wins, team growth and awards recognition.
The company, which is celebrating its 10th year in business, has seen a 23 per cent uplift in turnover in the first six months of the year when compared to 2017 figures. This strong financial performance is due to a number of new projects wins from the likes of GirlGuiding Manchester, the Credit Hire Organisation, Life Leisure, Stockport Council, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Millie’s Trust as well as ongoing accounts with Gymfinity Kids, Kidscan and Nomow.
Platform81’s recent growth has fuelled the expansion of its workforce, currently 14-strong, with the appointment of two new team members. Bridie Daniels, previously of creative agency Jelly, has been hired as a digital marketing executive, while website developer Oliver Southward has joined from Digital Next. In addition, Platform81 is creating a new apprenticeship role which is being developed in conjunction with Juice Academy and will see another new starter this month.
Nick Wroe, director at Platform81, said: “2018 has already been an incredibly exciting year for the Platform81 team – we have won a fantastic array of new contracts with some really great brands, strengthened the team with a number of key appointments and have been shortlisted for no less than four high profile industry awards. We are very proud of what we have achieved in the past 10 years and look forward to continuing to implement our growth strategy and supporting like-minded business to help them achieve their goals.”
Platform81 is currently shortlisted for ‘Best Creative Agency’ at the Stockport Business Awards and ‘Small Digital Agency of the Year’ at the MPA Inspiration Awards. The company was also shortlisted for ‘Digital Agency of the Year (11-25 employees)’ at the Prolific North Awards and ‘Best User Experience’ at the Big Chip Awards earlier in the year.
