Senior appointment for Code

Conversion specialist Matt Lacey has joined the agency as Performance Director and will report directly into CEO Tony Foggett.

Matt will oversee the conversion optimisation programmes currently running for existing clients such as Hillarys, JCT600 and Swinton, as well as look to bring new clients on board. He will also be increasing the agency’s web analytics services, working closely with Code’s parent company MediaCom North (that has sophisticated processes and insights at the acquisition and media stage of the customer journey), but applying the insights gleaned from analysing consumer’s online behaviour to direct change and onsite improvements.

Working across all areas of Code’s business, from its strategy to design and engineering disciplines, Matt will also be helping clients to identify the key performance metrics that are most relevant to the results they’re striving for and supporting teams’ ongoing evolution of a client’s platform and digital solutions.

Code’s CEO Tony Foggett said: “Our proven capabilities to deliver ongoing improved value from our client’s digital platforms lies at the core of our product thinking approach.

“We’ve carved out quite a niche in the agency landscape, and a strong reputation, for applying the iterative test, measure and learn philosophies commonplace with some of the most successful dot com businesses to the work we do for our clients. As an agency partner, we do things differently to other agencies that still have a ‘project’ mentality instead of focusing on value-creation.

“Matt’s appointment comes on the back of the success of how we’re doing things (differently) and some of the new clients that we’ve brought in to the agency this year to work with us in this way.”

Matt (30) joins from iProspect where he was Head of Conversion Optimisation. Prior to this he was at PRWD having completed a masters at Manchester Business School and a stint running his own business.

Commenting on his appointment at Code, Matt said: “This is a hugely exciting role; focusing on digital product performance within an agency that has such strong strategic, design and engineering capabilities as part of a complete client package.

“With stronger insights and continually testing new ways of driving more from clients’ digital solutions we’re able to generate unprecedented results for clients, and I look forward to expanding the team and client base at Code.”

Tony added: “We continue to attract some of the best talent in the business and, with a number of opportunities still to fill, the door is open for more people to join the team.”
