With more than 130,000 sq. ft., 650 car parking spaces and more than 2 million visitors each year it is the principal retail destination for the region.
New stores which opened during 2016 were Bonmarche, The Body Shop Outlet and Outdoor & Country.
So far in 2017 Thomas Cook and IT Luggage have both rebranded, undertaking extensive store refurbishments. BB’s Bakers & Baristas opened at the start of the year and will bring another dimension to the foodie offer at the Centre. It’s a fantastic place to shop and we’re proud to have been appointed.
Sue Sweatmore, centre manager at Freeport Talke (pictured), said:
“We’ve worked really hard in terms of getting the right mix of retailers, events and campaigns and we’re delighted with the results. We’re confident that we’re on track to at least match record numbers of visitors before the end of the year.
“Our new owners are stimulating more interest in the Centre. We’re already working together to see how we can make further exciting enhancements to the visitor experience during 2017.”
Pete Davies, managing director of Sugar PR, which is based on King Street in Manchester city centre, said:
“Freeport Talke is about to sign a deal with a new retailer who will occupy the final space left in the Centre. It’s an attractive destination for brands because of the huge catchment area it serves in Stoke, Staffordshire and Cheshire. We’re delighted to help tell the story of a fantastic destination and shopping experience.”
Freeport Talke is located off Junction 16 of the M6.
