Milo Yiannopoulos writing on the Telegraph website claims it's "grim up North" for tech startups. Milo points to Quick TV as an exception to an otherwise dull scene before pointing out that it's moving to London from the North East.
The article claims poor advice and a lack of good networking opportunities are the core of the problem, although it's difficult to escape a feeling that Milo thinks there's a lack of good ideas in the first place. His focus is on conventional models of innovation, bemoaning the quality of the "pitches" from "startups" to "dragons". No mention of collaborative networking as a source of innovation - perhaps because London isn't very good at that.
Read Milo's article, Paul Smith's response created lots of discussion and tweeting (plus a mention for Manchester's Manoj Ranaweera), then an "official" response from Herb Kim.
