Reframe - Women in Tech, a conference by and for the women in technology community will be held in Manchester this October with a focus on changing the narrative around women in technology through positive journeys and positive action.
The event which will be delivered by Manchester-based Tech Returners and supported by Women in Tech North and sponsors ANS Group and Business Growth Hub will bring over 200 members of the community in the North of England together for a collaborative day designed to empower women in technology to develop, succeed and inspire others.
Uniquely the event hasn’t launched with a full list of speakers or sponsors intact but rather it is appealing to like-minded individuals and businesses to come together to achieve a joint vision of reframing the narrative around women in technology to positively encourage more women into the industry.
Expert speakers and contributors are welcomed to apply for a slot to speak at the event whilst businesses can access sponsorship packages from just £350.00 there’s also the option to ‘ sponsor what you can’ allowing businesses and individuals alike to support and engage with the event. Attending the conference costs just £25 and there’s a big reason for this as Tech Returners Co-Founder Beckie Taylor explains:
“ We know about the barriers women in technology face but we’re here to share the successes and change that narrative and that’s why we’re making this event as accessible as possible, keeping the ticket price low and the sponsorship options flexible, offering childcare at the event and really addressing the issues which create barriers not just to entering a technology career but even attending a technology conference in the first place. This conference is for the community, by the community and we want as many people as possible to have the chance to be involved”
The one-day event which will be held at The Studio in the city’s Northern Quarter will hear from leaders in the field, celebrate successes and access practical tools and advice from North West expert speakers and contributors and will focus on themes including leadership, personal development and career advice, technology today and tomorrow and diversity and inclusion.
The event takes place on 28th October 2019, for more information and to book tickets visit www.reframe-wit.com or email hello@reframe-wit.com
