The countdown calendar is now set to entertain thousands of young visitors on the CBBC website during the run up to the main event. Every day, between now and Christmas day, children who visit the site can unwrap a new present and reveal an exclusive treat.
Built using HTML5 technologies to work across mobile, tablet and desktop, it features children’s favourites: Hacker, Dodge, Katie, Karim and lots of other CBBC characters, who have all been wrapped up at Father Christmas’ workshop.
Tim Makin, Technical Director of the MediaCityUK based agency, said “Working on children’s projects for BBC is always fun and exciting. In this year’s calendar we were able to introduce nice little interactions such as falling presents and snowstorms. When coupled with some great sound effects it creates a really engaging experience for young visitors.”
Ryan Cooney, Content Producer of CBBC Interactive added “The 2014 CBBC Advent Calendar has already had great success, continuing to be the most popular piece of content on the website every day since launch. Wink Nudge did a great job of collaborating with us on the creative brief and delivering an excellent, fun and exciting project for our audience”.
