Organised by Nomensa, World Usability Day celebrations return for the second year running aimed to encourage sharing, learning and networking within the digital community.
Last year saw a host of excellent local and international speakers covering a range of topics:
- Dan Klyn – Keynote: Practical abstraction – Ensuring usability and transcending usage with Information Architecture
- Alistair Duggin – An accessibility case study on the BBC Olympics site
- Andrea Resmini – Poetics, place and meaning in Information Architecture
- Claire Rowland – UX for the Internet of Things
- Dylan Thomas – Dark Patterns in UX
- Jason Hobbs – Navigating complexity: A case study
- Oli Shaw – You don’t know me better than I know myself
World Usability Day is about celebrating User Experience.
The theme for World Usability Day 2014 is engagement. Technology, products and services are usable when they engage people.
We are seeking high-quality session proposals from experienced speakers on Information Architecture, UX and design. Both workshops and talks in the main auditorium will be considered.
Depending on the type of talk you’d like to give, generally speaking, slots are 30 minutes long with additional Q&A.
Once submissions close, all will be considered and the shortlist contacted.
