ARM shares VR knowledge at VRTGO Developer Day 2016

Secret Sauce who brought you VRTGO expo and conference is launching a new 1 day conference aimed at developers working in virtual reality (VR) technology.  Secret Sauce is producing this day as a result of demand for a more technical focused event that would help developers learn some of the VR secrets and potions from other VR Gurus and fellow developers.

Carri Cunliffe, Secret Sauce, VRTGO Producer said, “We received a number of requests from the VR development community to host a technical day where they could learn from each other and VR experts. 

There will be expert speakers, an expo and a chance to network at the after party.  We are also thrilled that tech giant ARM will be there and sponsoring.”

ARM is the headline sponsor and they will be exhibiting and speaking at the developer day. The company will be showing off its cutting edge ARM® Mali™ graphics and Geomerics Enlighten™ global illumination technologies.

According to Nizar Romdhane, director of developer ecosystem, business line group, ARM: “We will be talking about the capabilities of mobile virtual reality hardware and sharing best practice for how to achieve highly optimized rendering effects on Mali graphics. These include reflection, refraction, soft shadows, procedural skybox and bloom that will allow users to enjoy amazing virtual reality experiences.”

The event is being held in Gateshead which is fast becoming home to a large number of cutting edge VR companies.  Local developers Coatsink and Vector 76 and many more. The event will take place next to the VRTGO Labs home at Northern Design Centre on the 3rd March 2016.
