Digital agency Degree 53 has designed and developed a new app for Vibe Tickets; an online marketplace that allows fans to buy and sell tickets at face value.
The app enables fans to arrange to meet up at an event and socialise with like-minded members within the Vibe community.
Once signed up to the app, users are prompted to select their favourite music genre, gig or event.
Founded by entrepreneur Luke Massie in 2013, Vibe Tickets was created to provide music, concert, sport and theatre lovers the chance to find and buy hard to find tickets without having to pay over the odds prices.
Due to the success of their Twitter account and social media following, Vibe Tickets approached Degree 53 early this year to create an ethical and secure way for fans to buy and sell tickets between themselves. This resulted in the creation of a mobile app, as well as new branding to support it.
Andrew Daniels, founder of Degree 53 , said: “Vibe Tickets was an exciting project to be involved with and the first of its kind for us. It gives fans the chance to see their favourite artists at honest prices without paying a premium.
“With user experience at the forefront of the design we were able to produce a product that was engaging, easy to use and looked good.
“The app allows users to register and share information through Facebook and Twitter, receive alerts on favourite acts and communicate with sellers through the instant messaging feature,” added Andrew.
A seven strong team at Degree 53, based in Manchester’s digital hub the Sharp Project, worked on the design and development of the app for nine months to ensure that it met the needs of the target audience.
