As well as creating full-time positions for experienced local professionals, the company’s expansion has also opened up part-time vacancies for several local students at Lancaster university – giving them all-important work experience, as well as paying them the National Living Wage, while they continue their computing degrees.
Nublue’s expansion brings additional tech professionals to their Hosting team and adds even more dedicated web and sales experts to their Agency team, allowing the company to take on more client work than at any other time in its ten-year history. Their Operations team has also expanded to include IT and HR specialists, providing additional tech support and professional development for the company’s growing staff.
The company’s creation of several additional roles is a direct response to its expanding client base, with more brands and individuals partnering with Nublue based on the websites it produces for names likes Nutricia and the national jeweller T.H. Baker. The Lancaster company has also developed a strong track record for its customer service and technical support on independent reviews website Reviews.co.uk, providing superfast web hosting for clients including US fashion brand Penfield and one of the UK’s leading digital agencies, Creare.
“It’s hugely exciting to see the team growing so rapidly,” says Nublue MD Michael Ashworth. “Me and my brother Tom began Nublue in 2005, and one of our main goals has always been to create more high-quality digital jobs in Lancashire. To watch a two-man company grow to forty-one has been incredibly satisfying for us, especially in the knowledge that we can pay everyone on our team the National Living Wage for their hard work. As a result of our growing team we’re seeing more client wins, providing more websites and hosting for more businesses, and we’re able to invest more than ever in training our staff to keep them exceptional at what they do.”
With fresh recruitment underway and three additional vacancies already advertised on their website, Nublue is set to continue its expansion over the course of 2016 – having already provided a week of work experience for a local high-school student this year and with open doors for fresh digital internships, apprenticeships and general careers enquiries through their website and on social media.
