In the spotlight with Peak Reach

Each week we interview one of our members to find out a bit more about them and their work in the Greater Manchester digital sphere. This week we're speaking with video marketing experts, Peak Reach.

What does your organisation do?

Here at Peak Reach, we plan, produce and distribute effective videos across digital and social. We founded the company to answer one question – how can we bring the most value to our clients using our videos?

A huge part of how we are able to do this is by actually distributing the videos we create ourselves using paid social advertising to generate tangible leads for our clients. Our videos are purpose-built to work with this approach and it’s how Peak Reach is able to offer more value to its clients than pretty videos alone.

This way, as well as looking the part, our videos also have a measurable ROI, as well as the ability to be scalable and bring even higher returns to brands that want to see results.

What do you think is currently the biggest issue facing the tech industry?

Technology is giving brands the ability to be more effective with their marketing, but most organisations aren’t able to make the most of it. This is often because marketing managers have to wear so many hats, so they aren’t able to be specialists and keep up-to-date with every medium. Brands need to continue to continue to adopt new approaches if they want to stay competitive and it’s vital that they do if the tech industry is to continue moving forwards.

What is your organisation’s biggest achievement?

We’ve built a solid team of 4 people in our first year. We always wanted to focus on quality and not quantity and we just love that we have a close knit team working very closely with our clients. Seeing the positive results of our work constantly keeps us motivated and excited about what we do.

What would you consider to be your organisation’s biggest challenge?

The power of video is something that is increasingly being understood. As a result, a lot of brands want to start investing in video content. However, making sure that companies understand the value of producing practical videos, over videos that are only nice aesthetically can sometimes be a challenge. Video and Paid Social are a deadly combination combining art and science to give tangible results, but it does require some educating and trust.

What do you think the future looks like for Manchester’s tech sector?

Manchester’s tech sector is thriving. In particular, the culture of companies working with each other in collaboration is impressive. Co-working spaces and business incubators across the region have a lot of do with this. In the future, the nature of Manchester’s supportive community will mean that there will more investment in the region, more opportunities for entrepreneurs and a chance for Greater Manchester to continue to grow as a leading city for tech innovation within the UK.

Tell us something that we might not know about your company?

We have a saying commonly said in the office – less haste, more speed! A big part of what we believe in is to taking the time to do things properly and focus on the output of our efforts being a success.
