Apadmi collected the accolade for the solution it created for NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT), which reduces administration for Specialist Nurses so they can spend more crucial time with the families of organ donors.
DonorPath, which was developed in support of the digital transformation of the NHS, is being used to replace paper-based processes and assist Specialist Nurses in Organ Donation. Rather than handwriting patient information and then rekeying at a later stage, nurses are able to enter data directly into the app, helping to reduce errors and improve efficiencies.
The app, which is already being used in over 200 acute hospitals in the UK, also checks entries for accuracy meaning that chances of human error are greatly reduced, and it also minimises data security risks through encryption.
The prestigious awards ceremony was held at the New Dock Hall at Royal Armouries in Leeds on 26th January 2017.
