Joining us for the latest edition of MD Culture Club is Robiquity.
We spoke to three of their team members to find out what working at Robiquity is like!
Talent Lead- Ryan Cookson
Can you tell us a little bit about the company, before describing the culture at the organisation?
Robiquity is a leading Intelligent Automation (IA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) consultancy service providing trusted advice and technology solutions across Financial Services, Retail, Telco and Public Sector clients. We implement transformative automation and AI solutions to enable business, and their people, to focus on their core purpose. This means we harness the power of intelligent automation technologies to enable significant operational efficiency.
The culture here at Robiquity follows the same vision, which is to enable our team to discover their core purpose. This means that our people will get the opportunity to follow the career path that they chose, whether that be advancing their consultancy skills, learning new technologies and/or developing their people management capabilities.
I found the culture here to be quite unique; people genuinely love what they do and appreciate the opportunities that are given to them as they progress through their career. There is a real sense of achievement throughout the whole business as we reach a milestone or deliver a project. Accomplishments, whether personal or as a business, are felt and celebrated by everyone and as a result there is a positive work environment, where people can thrive.
How does the company go above and beyond to attract and retain tech talent?
I believe that we owe our great retention rates to the positive working environment and culture that we have here. Robiquity employees feel supported by their peers and can enjoy the social side of working with friendly people. We are very fortunate that our position in the market means that Robiquity is held in high regard by prospective candidates and our clients, both current and future. As we advance and grow as a business, I have no doubt that we will mature our offerings to become even more attractive as an employer. People are at the heart of everything we do.
What does the future look like for the company and its employees?
I’m excited for what the future holds at Robiquity. We have recently had significant investment into the company and have embark on a period of hypergrowth that will see revenue and headcount increase on average around 40% year on year for the next 3 to 5 years. For our employees this means that as the company grows, so will their careers and the opportunities available to them.
The new starter - Nomondary Quille
Can you describe your role at the company?
I’m a consultant: helping clients achieve their goals whether that be through Intelligent Automation, web design, or app creation. I work mainly as a Developer but also a more holistic approach of advising and guiding our clients.
What was it about the organisation that attracted you to the role?
I am very interested in automation, and I like the all-round approach of Robiquity. This includes the technology-agnostic approach to client work.
Can you describe the onboarding process you’ve experienced?
A very structured training programme, starting with PL-900 and now starting to support on client work. Onboarding: the interview process was simple, only 2 interviews and very quick to go through the whole process. Everyone was very welcoming and happy to greet us, and it was nice coming in a joint cohort of 8 people for the team-building feeling. There is a higher sense of ‘family’ feeling than other workplaces I’m used to, which seems to work for everyone as far as I can tell. Meeting all layers of the team in our first week was very helpful for understanding how the company works.
The long-term employee - Max Thompson
Can you describe your role at the company?
My job is to help our clients on their Intelligent Automation journeys by identifying & designing automation or transformation opportunities within their business. My role consists of meeting clients, discussing issues within their teams, any KPIs they work to and current/future strategic goals. This helps me know what value I should be looking for when searching for opportunities, I will then get into the detail of teams and processes, seeing where transformation or IA is possible to deliver on these value drivers.
I’ll then get involved in the designing of solutions for any opportunities identified, working with the business to ensure as much value as possible is delivered & then the development, testing and hyper caring of these solutions.
You’ve been at the company for a number of years, can you tell me what has kept you at the company for so long?
A combination of things really… The culture is great, dedication & delivering value is celebrated and rewarded. I’m constantly learning new technologies & ways of working, and I’m surrounded by brilliant colleagues who I can always turn to if I’m struggling with a problem. The kitchen in the office is always FULLY stocked & the out of work gatherings are always quality!
What would you say to a person considering joining the company?
Go for it! You’ll will work at a company where you’ll feel valued, get the opportunity to deliver real value to clients using some really smart tech, get rewarded for your efforts & have the opportunity to grow.
On a personal level you’ll be able to get involved with: cakes/brownies/macaroons baked by a GBBO standard baker, weekly 5 a side football with an ex Europa league goalkeeper, a board game committee, polyglots, scratch golfers & not so scratch golfers, 3D printing enthusiasts, fragrance “experts”, boulderers and far too many Liverpool fans for my liking.
