Cloud consultancy Steamhaus has extended its offering with the launch of new hosting platform, SteamCloud. The service has been developed for businesses that require high availability, without the full feature-set and instant scalability of large public cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). Based on VMWare, the platform will allow customers to host their sites or applications locally.
The platform answers a demand for a more personal and responsive service. SteamCloud will offer dedicated technical support 24/7, with a guaranteed 15-minute response rate following any emergency failures – all at a fixed monthly rate.
Daniel Keighron-Foster, managing director at Steamhaus said: ‘‘SteamCloud completes our offering as a full-service cloud consultancy. Providing a personal service is at the heart of everything we do. We have a fantastic network of partners and more than 50 years’ technical expertise in-house; so we’re always able to source, manage and maintain the right solution. We can also be with our clients every step of the way as they grow - from hosting their website or app on SteamCloud to migrating them to a public cloud without any downtime or disruption.”
Mark Stringer, managing director at AHOY said: "Steamhaus were a godsend! They helped us when no one else could, stabilising a platform that was sat with a different provider, before building a bespoke infrastructure tailored to each of our clients’ requirements. Not only are we happy and more confident, but our customers are. We’ve had numerous bad experiences with hosting “solutions” but Steamhaus actually care. It’s so refreshing. Good server specs and infrastructure are not a USP anymore. It's about staff with brilliant expertise.’’
Simon Wharton, managing director at PushON said: “Before there was technology, there were people. When you know the people in the team at Steamhaus, you know, without a shadow of a doubt, that you’re in the hands of people who are way ahead of the game technically and who provide the very best in customer service – the standard that others aim for.’’
