The new partnership will accelerate the club’s growth and further develop its women’s team, the Swinton Lionesses.
This collaboration is part of Swinton’s #OneClubOneVision strategy, enhancing the club’s marketing, communications, commercial development, and digital innovation, while also contributing to improved on-field performance.
UA92 students will have an opportunity to contribute to key areas such as designing digital platforms, marketing strategies, and commercial growth initiatives. The partnership will be further supported by Global13, the Principal Partner of the Swinton Lionesses, ensuring a lasting impact for both organisations.
Students will use their learning in sports science and strength and conditioning to also support the Swinton Lionesses, working to improve the team’s training and performance, highlighting both organisations’ commitment to women’s and girls’ rugby league.
Steve Wild, CEO of Swinton Lions, said “This partnership reinforces our commitment to making Swinton Lions a forward-thinking, modern rugby league club while also providing valuable real-world experience for UA92 students.”
Sara Prowse, CEO of UA92, added: “This partnership will offer our students hands-on experience in marketing, digital and commercial development, while also providing strength and conditioning expertise to support the Lionesses’ continued growth and success.”
