The Engagement Team at the University of Salford are looking to support students to find work-based learning and placement opportunities with various companies across Greater Manchester.
Work-based placement learning is a great opportunity for students to develop the necessary skills needed to work in their chosen industry. It also gives you, as employers, a fantastic opportunity to link with a local university and spot future talent that you may wish to recruit into your company.
We are working with a variety of courses across the School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology, looking to find creative placements for students within this school. Currently, we are looking to find placements for our Politics and Photography students - please see below for more details.
- Politics: Our Politics students are required to complete 10–12-week placement between February and May 2022. Any experience relating to governance, MP’s, policy, research projects, archiving, and campaign work would be invaluable.
- Photography: Our Photography students are looking to undertake a 45-hour placement between February and May 2022. Any experience relating to research, team assistant work, event or product photography, studio management, social media, post production, equipment work, and archiving would be fantastic.
If you are interested and would like to work with us either now or in the future that would be great. We are very flexible and happy to discuss this further- please get in touch with Harry Hosker and Jade Harniess by emailing AM-Engagement@salford.ac.uk.
